At the time of this inspection, licensor observed both staff members responsible for supervision were supervising children located in the backyard from inside the licensed home by standing in front of an open sliding glass screen door while preschool aged children were playing in a sandbox in the backyard on the other side of the door. Provider corrected this immediately by standing outside in the backyard within close proximity to the children. TA was provided, examples given, and this WAC was reviewed, including the definition of "active supervision" listed in 0005 which states that staff must be able to hear and see children during higher risk activities and be able to prevent or instantly respond to unsafe or harmful events if necessary during the activities listed in 345(5)(c)(i)-(viii). Licensor observed the provider was actively supervising children outdoors per WAC requirements following this discussion. No follow up correction is needed.· November 21, 2025
