Access to the emergency exit pathway is blocked by the gate. The gate at the bottom of the stairs in the lower level is a retractable gate, requiring two clasps to be undone to open, one at the tope, one at the bottom. The stairway is the secondary exit from the downstairs licensed space. A metal gate is in place to seperate the main play room from the entry way where the front door is located.
