Outdoor early learning program space

WAC 110-300-0145(8) · Short Term

At the time of this inspection licensor observed large tree roots in the corner of the backyard (16 st ft area) that were growing up toward the bottom fence board creating a gap of 5.5". Licensor observed tree roots next to the emergency exit gate in the backyard that were growing outward apx 2 ft toward the emergency exit pathway posing a tripping hazard when exiting, the tree trunk itself was observed to be growing into the side fence causing the wooden fence to shift and poses a risk of long term damage to the fence, and this tree was observed to have multiple dead branches with sharp edges accessible to children and some upper branches that posed a fall risk. Licensor strongly recommends removal of both of these trees to eliminate the risk of harm to children as they pose multiple safety hazards in addition to the damage they are causing to the fence.
