Daily records of arrival and departure times for children at the center were not maintained as children arrive and depart and/or were not made available for review. Not all children were signed in this morning, one (1) child’s arrival was missing.

Health and safety training topics were not included as part of on-going training within five years of completing the previous health and safety training topics. The following health and safety trainings were not completed by the five (5) year requirement: Administration of medication, with standards for parental consent; Handling and storage of hazardous materials and the appropriate disposal of biocontaminants; Prevention of and response to emergencies due to food and allergic reactions; and Prevention of sudden infant death syndrome and use of safe sleeping practices.

Daily records of arrival and departure times for children enrolled at the center were not maintained as children arrive and depart and/or were not made available for review. Six (6) children were signed-in when there were nine (9) children present.

The child care center premises, including the outdoor learning environment, was not clean, drained to minimize standing water, free of litter and hazards, and/or maintained in a manner which does not create conditions that attract or harbor pests. I observed paint buckets and paint pails in accessible storage under the playhouse structure in the outdoor learning environment.

Operator has not scheduled and obtained a fire inspection within 12 months of the previous inspection. Operator did not submit the original approved report to DCDEE within one week of the inspection visit on a form provided by the Division. The most recent fire inspection was completed on 7/17/23, a copy was not received within seven (7) days.
