Unannounced visit · February 7, 2024

Corrosive agents, pesticides, bleaches, detergents, cleansers, polishes, and products under pressure in an aerosol dispenser and any substance that may be hazardous to a child if ingested, inhaled, or handled were not kept in locked storage when children were in care. A pesticide was reachable to children in their play area. The owner explained they were using it outside when the weather warmed and had just brought it inside. I reminded the owner that it cannot be in reach of children at any time.

Operator has not completed ITS-SIDS training every three years from the completion date of the previous ITS-SIDS training. Both ITS-SIDS trainings in January, when the operators training was due, were at times when the operator was caring for children. She has signed up for a call on March 4th, 2024 but documentation needs to be provided.

Violation confirmed corrected by letter received from provider on 2/8/2024

The operator did not review the EPR Plan annually or when information in the plan changed to ensure all information is current. The provider received communication from the Child Care Consultant, as a reminder, in October, 2023 stating that all EPR plans needed to be updated annually and would be monitored.
