All indoor and outdoor areas used by the children were not kept clean, orderly, and free of items which are potentially hazardous to children including removal of items a child can swallow; the removal of loose nails or screws and splinters on inside; and use of outdoor equipment that is too hot to touch. there was a space heater in the corner of the room, sitting on a shelf that was mounted into the wall. The shelf is 5’5” from the ground and out of reach of the children. The heater was being held secured by a hard plastic thick cable. The heater was plugged into a surge protector, and the manufacturers stated that the plug needed to plug into the outlet directly. The heater was not hot to the touch, but the plastic cable that securing the space heater was hot to the touch.

Corrosive agents, pesticides, bleaches, detergents, cleansers, polishes, and products under pressure in an aerosol dispenser and any substance that may be hazardous to a child if ingested, inhaled, or handled were not kept in locked storage when children were in care. In the bathroom paint was stored in the closet, and the closet was not locked. In the kitchen area two (2) aerosol cans were sitting on a shelf that was over five feet.
