ALLEGATION(S): Staff failed to administer CPR on a child who was choking INVESTIGATION FINDINGS: Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Marilou Monico met with Licensee, Sijia Zhang, for an unannounced follow up complaint investigation. The purpose of today's inspection was explained with Sijia. Based on interviews and reports obtained from the Santa Clara County Fire Department, the above allegation is found to be UNSUBSTANTIATED, meaning although, the above allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation did or did not occur. As a result of this inspection, there were no deficiencies issued. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Licensee, Sijia Zhang. A Notice of Site Visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Unsubstantiated Estimated Days of Completion:
Reporting Requirements - The licensee shall report to the Department any of the events as specified in Health and Safety Code Sections 1597.467(b)(1)(A) through (b)(1)(C) that occur during the operation of the family child care home. This requirement was not met as evidenced by: The licensee failed to report unusual incidents to Licensing. This poses a potential risk to the health, safety, and personal rights to children in care.
