Responsibility for Providing Care and Supervision(a)(1) No child(ren) shall be left without the supervision of a teacher at any time, except as specified in Sections 101216.2(e)(1) and 101230(c)(1). Supervision shall include visual observation. This requirement was not met as evidenced by: A child was left unattended inside Preschool Room Two on February 29,2024. This poses an immediate risk to the health, safety, and personal rights to children in care.
(b) The name of the child care center director, and any fully qualified teacher(s) designated to act in the child care center director's absence, shall be reported to the Department within 10 days of a change of child care center director or designee(s). This requirement is not met as evidenced by: Based on observation, interview and record review, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above which poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care. The director packet was not submitted to the Childcare Licensing Department within 10 days of a change of director.
101170 Criminal Record Clearance (e) All individuals subject to a criminal record review pursuant to Health and Safety Code Section 1596.871 shall prior to working, residing or volunteering in a licensed facility: (1) Obtain a California clearance or a criminal record exemption as required by the Department This requirement is not met as evidenced by: Based on observation, interview and staff roster review, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above for one staff (S3) which poses an immediate health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
