During the inspection, a bottle of bleach was observed underneath the kitchen sink, unlocked and accessible to children. There was dog feces and trash debris on the playground where children were observed playing. On the back porch, multiple electric power tools were plugged into a wall socket and accessible to children. The living room blinds, were drawn for lighting, and the cords were hanging down and the children were playing with them. The kitchen cabinet was locked, the cords from the blinds were wrapped up and made inaccessible to the children, the power tools were covered with a blanket and out of reach to the children. This was corrected at inspection.
The provider was observed taking trash to an outside garbage can, leaving the children unsupervised inside the home.
During the inspection two smoke detectors and the carbon monoxide detector did not have batteries.
The written operational policies and procedures did not have the required components for the emergency preparedness plan and the promotion of outdoor play.
The fire extinguisher observed was not mounted and last serviced on October 2017.
