Profile completeness
Incomplete profiles mean Shortlist’s methodology can only work with what it can find. Pricing, staff tenure, meals, and ratios can be filled directly from the dashboard. Each field added makes the profile more complete — and usually more compelling to parents comparing options.
Waitlist demand
The dashboard shows how many families are waiting for a spot, broken down by age group. This helps providers plan capacity and understand which age ranges have the most unmet demand in their area.

- Can I improve my profile?
- Yes. When public records are incomplete, submit data through the dashboard and Shortlist will update the profile based on verified information. The full methodology is published at shortlist.guide/about.
- What data do parents see?
- Everything in the public profile: category, teaching philosophy, pricing, ratios, meals, enrollment status, inspection records, and staff data. To see the listing exactly as parents see it, click “View your public listing” in the dashboard.
